Meet Kathleen

Meet Kathleen | Licensed Acupuncturist

Owner of Wellnest Acupuncture

Kathleen has been practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine since 2006 and brings nearly two decades of clinical experience to Wellnest Acupuncture + Holistic Medicine in Denver. She earned her Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Traditional Medicine Nutrition, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Midwest College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She completed advanced clinical training in both China and Japan and is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the NCCAOM, as well as a Licensed Acupuncturist in Colorado.

As an experienced Denver acupuncturist, Kathleen specializes in women’s health acupuncture, fertility acupuncture, hormonal balance, and nervous system regulation. She has supported hundreds of patients navigating fertility challenges, IVF, FET, and IUI cycles, pregnancy care, postpartum recovery, autoimmune conditions, digestive disorders, chronic pain, and stress-related conditions. She feels deeply honored to walk alongside women through every stage of their reproductive journey, and many healthy babies have been welcomed into the world with acupuncture as part of their path to conception.

Kathleen integrates a food-as-medicine philosophy into her treatments, using Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and individualized nutrition recommendations to support healing from the inside out. She has a special passion for helping patients experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation, recognizing how profoundly stress patterns influence hormones, digestion, sleep, and overall well-being. Her approach gently supports the body in shifting from survival mode into a state of safety and restoration.

Her treatment style is calm, precise, and deeply personalized. She blends Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese acupuncture techniques, herbal therapy, and nutrition to address both root imbalances and present-day symptoms. Kathleen believes healing happens on multiple levels — physical, emotional, and energetic — and that each patient’s journey is unique. She is passionate about helping individuals feel more grounded, resilient, and connected to their bodies so that lasting wellness can unfold naturally.

Outside of the clinic, Kathleen enjoys soaking up the Colorado sunshine, walking her Australian Labradoodle, Auggie, practicing yoga and meditation, and social dancing — especially West Coast Swing.
